Today, we sit down with Liz for a small talk about how she navigates change in her business and what drives her passion for coffee.

What made you seriously interested in the coffee business?

As a second-generation coffee farm owner, I wanted to continue and build upon my family’s legacy. Through my research, I became increasingly fascinated with the industry. Coffee is a business with export potential and can gain international recognition.

What challenges have you faced in the business, and how have you handled them or turned them into opportunities?

Challenges: The competition in the coffee industry is extremely fierce. Without a clear positioning and target audience, it’s difficult to stand out. It’s crucial to have deep knowledge and strong expertise in the field.

Opportunities: The coffee business requires essential products such as raw materials, packaging, and equipment that cannot be locally produced in Thailand but are in high demand. Apart from the B2C market, there’s also an opportunity to expand into B2B, offering products and solutions to businesses.

What is your passion that drives you to run your business every day? What are your core values and future goals?

My passion lies in gaining recognition for my work and ensuring that my customers see the value in what I do. I want to contribute meaningfully to the industry.

What is your background that led you to this point in your coffee business journey?

I have been in the coffee business for 10 years, starting with my family’s coffee farm. I studied and interned in Taiwan to deepen my knowledge of coffee. After gaining experience, I launched my own business and fully immersed myself in the coffee industry. I traveled to many countries to expand my expertise and build a global network, which eventually led me to become a judge, competitor, and trainer in the coffee business.

How do you envision the future of the coffee industry? What are your goals on a national, regional, and global scale?

My goal is to make Thai coffee recognized on the global stage and win international awards, proving its competitiveness in the industry.

How do you see business opportunities during and after COVID-19? What strategies should businesses adopt to achieve their goals?

The digital transition is critical. Digital marketing must be implemented effectively, targeting consumer behavior in a precise and strategic manner. Businesses need to adapt quickly to stay ahead in the evolving market.
